Hidroelectrica employees’ salaries cannot be changed

Minister delegated for social dialogue, Liviu Pop, maintains that the salaries of Hidroelectrica employees cannot be changed because the company signed a collective labour contract but this changes in September when “the situation ends” inside the company, Mediafax informs. Asked whether he thinks it is normal for a driver at Hidroelectrica receives EUR 1643 as monthly wage, Pop answered: “I do not think that such a salary is a normal one”, adding that this driver should be paid with a similar amount as the one received by the driver of the Minister for Social Dialogue, which is RON 1,400 monthly. The Minister said that the state run companies used to have their budgets approved within the administration boards, so far, but now it is the first time after three years when they were approved by the Government.
