Oltchim renounces laying off on technical bases more than 500 employees

The management of Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea chemical plant (OLT) has renounced the plan announced on Thursday to have 506 employees laid off on technical bases, over August 27 – September 30, based on a press release sent this Friday to Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). Following the Thursday notice from the management, 250 employees of Bradu petrochemical division protested on Friday before the plant in Pitesti as against this decision and they complained about the fact that they did not receive their salaries for the last month and nor did they receive the lunch vouchers on the last four months. After the protest from Pitesti, the 250 employees of Oltchim left to Ramnicu Vlacea to continue the protests before the venue of the chemical plant.
