Houses in Eastern Bucharest 10 pc cheaper

The houses in the Eastern part of the Capital have prices by 10 per cent lower, over the first half of 2012, based on a survey of CENTURY 21 Romania, sent yesterday to media. The prices for three-room flats in Pantelimon and Titan districts decreased, in semester I 2012, by up to 9 per cent and 9.36 per cent respectively in Pantelimon and by 9 per cent in Titan. Decreases up to 10 per cent were also registered for one – room flats in these two areas of Bucharest, namely 11.7 per cent in Pantelimon and 9.7 per cent in Titan. “The rumours from May regarding the possibility of Prima Casa (First House) programme to close in August influenced owners on short term but this did not change the downward trend started in 2008”, according to Catalin Scripcaru, president of CENTURY 21 Romania.
