League I: FC Vaslui 3 – Steaua Bucharest 1

Steaua Bucharest lost its away game against FC Vaslui, the first derby of the season, score 1-3, after controlling a good part of the game. “It’s a shame we lost a game we controlled. It’s frustrating for us because we managed to play fairly good. We managed to defeat ourselves. We have to pull ranks, to gather ourselves, to win the following games,” Steaua coach Laurentiu Reghecampf stated, being quoted by Agerpres. FC Vaslui coach Marius Sumudica was very pleased with the victory, dedicating it sarcastically to the journalists that claimed FC Vaslui will lose and its coach will be sacked. Also on Monday, U Cluj and FC Brasov finished their game in a tie (1-1), while Viitorul Constanta won its away game against Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt (3-0).
