Dinamo, Steaua and FC Vaslui trying their luck in Europa League

FC Vaslui will try to pull off a miracle in the return leg of its Europa League playoffs fixture against Inter Milano, the game set to take place tonight at 9.45 PM, digisport.ro informs. FC Vaslui could register the biggest performance in its 10-year history right on the Giuseppe Meazza stadium. But in order to do that the team would have to make up for the 2-0 loss it registered in the first leg. “Of course we have chances! Why not? Miracles have been seen,” Lucian Sanmartean stated. “Logically they are the top dogs after the first leg result. We lost 2-0 but everything is possible and we are going there to win,” Marius Niculae stated. This will be a difficult day for Dinamo too. The team is set to play an away game against Metalist Kharkov at 9 PM. Dinamo lost the first leg, 2-0 (1-0 at half time), despite the fact that Metalist played one man down after the 68th minute. FC Dinamo’s new shareholder Ionut Negoita has decided to double the bonuses promised if the team defeats Metalist Kharkov and manages to qualify for the group stage. Thus, if before the first leg the three shareholders had promised a bonus of EUR 15,000 per player, now Dinamo’s new shareholder personally hiked the bonus by a total of EUR 250,000. The announcement was made during the meeting he had with the team before it left for Kharkov. “I always supported performance and I’m willing to continue doing so. I have full confidence in the players and the coaching staff and I hope they will have confidence in their value and strength too. I wish Dinamo will play nice in Kharkov and will pull off a new “miracle.” Fortune favors the bold. I dare to hope and to fight from my position of shareholder in order to be part of a miracle. Dinamo fans deserve this “miracle” and I’m only trying to do everything in my power to make it possible,” Ionut Negoita stated. Also on Thursday, Steaua will play at home against FK Ekranas in the return leg of their Europa League playoffs fixture. The game will start at 8.30 PM. Steaua won the first leg, 2-0. According to the Gendarmerie, this will be a high-risk game. Access to the stadium will be possible starting at 5.30 PM. Ticket booths will be open until the game starts.
