BRD shareholders approve Philippe Charles Lhotte as banking administrator

BRD – Groupe Societe Generale shareholders approved on Thursday the appointment of Philippe Charles Lhotte, former president of Expressbank AD, Societe Generale’s branch in Bulgaria, as banking administrator for a four-year term starting on September 13, a communiqué remitted to the editorial office shows. “The appointment of Mr. Philippe Charles Lhotte is conditioned on obtaining the National Bank of Romania’s prior approval, in line with the legal provisions currently in force,” the communiqué points out. The Shareholders’ General Meeting was led by Petre Bunescu, interim president of BRD’s Administrative Board. Lhotte was assigned, at the end of July, to take over the office of general manager of BRD – Groupe Societe Generale. Banking administrator Alexandre Paul Maymat stepped down at the end of July, invoking personal reasons. Maymat was set to take over the bank’s leadership after Guy Poupet retired early this year.
