BCR BpL President Alexandru Ciobanu resigns

BCR Banca pentru Locuinte (BCR BpL) President Alexandru Ciobanu will step down starting on October 1, his prerogatives being taken over by the other two members of the bank’s Executive Committee, a bank communiqué shows. BCR appointed Ciobanu at the helm of BCR BpL in the summer of 2009. Ciobanu had previously led Raiffeisen Banca pentru Locuinte. BCR BpL tripled its profit in H1 to RON 10.8 M, against the backdrop of an 87 per cent growth in deposits to a total of RON 986 M. The savings-crediting institution is expecting a result of RON 24-25 M at the end of the year.
