U.S. Military invest USD 1 million in the Romanian Combat Training Center

A ground breaking ceremony took place yesterday at the Romanian Land Forces Combat Training Center (CTC) in Cincu to celebrate the beginning of a one million dollar construction project sponsored by the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) at U.S. Embassy Bucharest.  At the event participated the Romanian Minister of Defense Corneliu Dobritoiu, Chief of Romanian Land Forces Sorin Ioan and U.S. Ambassador Mark Gitenstein. The Romanian Combat Training Center is quickly emerging as a world-class training center providing combined arms training capabilities.  The construction project will be used to upgrade infrastructure at the base. Also yesterday, the three officials were present at the ceremony aimed to celebrate the renovation of Cincu medical clinic which provides services to 3000 local residents.  Through ODC, the European Command Humanitarian Assistance program has provided USD 92.000 to refurbish the clinic.
