Instituto Cervantes of Bucharest – photo cultural event

A photo exhibition with the title ‘Marin. Photographs 1908-1940’ opened Thursday evening at Instituto Cervantes of Bucharest.The exhibition is the first cultural event organised at the new premises of the institute, located in a central area of the town, and it itinerates through several Cervantes centers from all over the world. It is organised jointly with the Pablo Iglesias Foundation and features 60 black&white photos selected from the Marin archive, recovered during the last years.The varnishing was expected to be attended by the Ambassador of Spain in Romania, Estanislao de Grandes Pascual, Oscar Martin del Barrio, the coordinator of the exhibition on behalf of the Pablo Iglesias Foundation, and Lucia Ramon Pla, the artist’s daughter. Instituto Cervantes Bucharest, a Hispanic language and culture institution with a remarkable tradition in Romania, relocated this summer to new headquarters situated on the Regina Elisabeta Boulevard, where it has many classrooms for Spanish language courses, along with exhibition and event halls where it will organise film projections, book launching events, concerts and meetings with cultural personalities.
