Traian Halalai takes over Eximbank leadership from Ionut Costea

Eximbank General Assembly of Shareholders (AGA) yesterday decided on the composition of the new bank management team as the term of the current leaders is coming to an end, according to a press release. AGA decided the Chairman of the Board and the Chief Executive Officer of Eximbank will be Traian Halalai and the executive management of the bank will be completed by Paul Ichim and Mihai Mandres as Deputy Chairmen of the Board and Deputy CEOs of Eximbank.  The AGA nominations will be sent to the National Bank of Romania for authorisation. Costea was appointed to head Eximbank at the beginning of 2009. The bank is 95.374 per cent owned by the Romanian state via the Ministry of Public Finance and the rest of the shares are property of five financial investment companies (SIFs): SIF Banat Crisana – 0.311 PER CENT; SIF Moldova – 0.311 per cent; SIF Transilvania – 0.311 per cent; SIF Muntenia – 0.423 per cent and SIF Oltenia – 3.270 per cent.
