The Iasi-Ungheni pipeline that will interlink Romania’s and the Republic of Moldova’s natural gas networks will cost RON 87.7 M (EUR 19.2 M) and will have an annual throughput of 1.5 billion cubic meters or approximately 15 per cent of the annual production of natural gas, Mediafax informs. The construction works are expected to last 17 months and the value of the investment will be updated in relation to how the prices evolve, a draft government decision shows. The Iasi-Ungheni pipeline will have a length of 43.2 kilometers, of which 32.8 kilometers on Romania’s territory. Romania will invest approximately EUR 12 M in this project.
