Gov’t to make another budget adjustment, this month

Government will operate a budget adjustment this month, said Minister Delegate for Social Dialog Liviu Pop, who pointed out that the priority ministries are those of Labor, Education and Health, Realitatea.net reports. He mentioned that government could pass the adjustment at the session Oct 24, or 31 at the latest. According to pop, the adjustment will also take care of the money required to complement the public employee salaries, starting with Dec 1, which would mean raises of 7.4 pc from Dec 1 for the 25 pc salary cuts and 2.3 pc for the 15 pc cut. The Government made the latest budget adjustment on Aug 23, when the Ponta Cabinet allotted RON 500 M for the payment of debts owed to companies and RON 100 m for the mayoralties lacking money to pay salaries, with a further RON 100 M going for the payment of attendants to disabled people.
