New layoffs at Mechel Campia Turzii

The management of Mechel Campia Turzii notified the trade union of the plant, the County Employment Department (AJOFM) and the Territorial Labour Inspectorate about its intent to lay off 800 more employees, leaving the plant with just 360 people at the Wire Production section, Mediafax reports. According to the trade union leader of Mechel Campia Turzii, Ioan Pascu, the union will resume the picketing of the plant HQ at the end of October and will organise a new rally.
