An 11 year old girl, diagnosed with measles, died in the Suceava County Hospital, and five other children were admitted with the same disease, all of them studying in the same school of Brodina de Sus. The head of the Suceava Public Health Department, Ludovic Abitei said yesterday morning that the girl was a pupil of the Brodina school, where 11 cases of measles were reported since March this year. “There are 90 children in that school, where 11 cases of measles – unrelated to each other – have been reported from March until yesterday,” Abitei said, quoted by Mediafax. In his turn, the spokesman of the Suceava Emergency Hospital, Tiberius Bradatan said that the 11 year old girl was brought to hospital on October 4 and died four days later. She was already in a very serious condition when she was admitted and, although she received intensive care, she developed respiratory and heart complications that killed her, although she had not been known with heart problems.
