Romania and Bulgaria sign memorandum on sustainable transportation on the Danube

Romania and Bulgaria signed yesterday in Sofia a memorandum on the setting up of an inter-institutional committee for the sustainable development of river transportation on the Romanian-Bulgarian sector of the Danube. The document was signed by Bulgaria’s regional development minister Liliana Pavlova, transportation and IT minister Ivailo Moskovski, and by the Romanian transportation and infrastructure minister Ovidiu Silaghi. The committee will adopt and subsequently monitor the implementation of an action plan within the framework of projects meant to improve navigation on the common sector of the river, a press communiqué issued by the Bulgarian government and quoted by Agerpres shows.
