The Romanian auto market registered a decline of 31.1 pc in September, with only Greece and Spain reporting a stronger contraction at EU scale (-48.5 pc and -36.8 pc respectively), according to statistic data released yesterday by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), quoted by Agerpres. The number of new Dacia registrations in the EU dropped by 14.4 pc in September compared to the similar month of last year, to approximately 15,300 vehicles. Ford B-Max became in September Romania’s second export automobile after Dacia Duster, outscoring Dacia Sandero and Dacia Logan, reveals a press release issued by the Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association (APIA). The Ford plant located in Craiova exported 7,895 B-Max units last month. At EU scale, 1,099,264 automobiles were registered in September 2012, 10.8 pc less than a year ago.
