Direct procurement threshold goes up 2013 onward

Government will double, from 15,000 to 30,000 euro, the threshold value of direct procurements of products, services or performance of work, without having to hold  public tenders, yet, the new threshold will be applied starting with 2013,  Dan Vladescu, the head of the National Authority for Regulating and Monitoring of   Public Procurements (ANRMAP) announced, who on Thursday confirmed the government’s intention, yet he added that government could have also issued an ordinance if it had an electoral stake.
