Both PDL President Vasile Blaga and PDL First Vice President Dorin Florea asked the Premier yesterday to present the draft 2013 budget. “We are asking Mr. Ponta to nevertheless come up with the draft budget, so we can know exactly what the government is thinking for the future, so we can know how it is fulfilling the electoral promises it made before coming to power and those that I’m sure it will continue to make in the elections campaign,” Blaga stated. Florea warned in his turn that if the government fails to present the draft budget the country will enter a harsh winter without having a strategy on heating. “County Councils have no better thing to do now than to spread promises and to blackmail mayors with a hypothetical budget rectification or with certain sums that will be given to mayoralties. Political parties should no longer humiliate mayors in this country,” Dorin Florea stated. Blaga yesterday called on the USL presidents of County Councils to stop putting pressure on PDL mayors, pointing out that the Democrat-Liberal mayors are receiving “threats” instead of promises of being financed.
