Automation Laboratory of Cluj receives Siemens equipment

Siemens Romania inaugurated the Automation Laboratory of the Cluj-Napoca Technical University, reads a press release. The collaboration with universities is of major interest for Siemens, given the priority to recruit students with potential in technical disciplines, via programmes aimed at integrating them in the company, also in the field of industrial automation. Starting this year, the students of the Automatics and Computers Faculty of the Cluj-Napoca Technical University will receive Automatics training in a laboratory equipped with the latest technology, provided by Siemens. The automation systems will represent a research basis and will be capable of developing diverse applications, in order to evince the uses of the technology in the industrial automation sector. “Research is fundamental for any branchy of engineering. In such a dynamic environment as industrial automation, market pressures and demands make it necessary to develop technical solutions that will increase the efficiency of processes and operations,” explains Daniel Barciuc, Country Division Lead I IA DT Siemens SRL.
