GDF SUEZ Energy Romania sells debentures worth RON 250 M

Natural gas distributor GDF SUEZ Energy Romania has attracted RON 250 M (EUR 54.6 M) from the local capital market by selling five-year debentures at a fixed interest of 7.4 pc a year, with the demand exceeding the bond volume. “The oversubscription was a ‘decent’ one,” capital market sources told Mediafax. The debentures will be allotted pro-rata, according to an indices resulted from diving the number of subscribed bonds to those offered. The offer unfolded Oct 17–23, was brokered by the Romanian Development Bank (BRD, and aimed at institutional investors exclusively.  The debentures were sold at RON 10,000 /apiece, matching the face value. The debenture issue is going to be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). Separately, the natural gas distributor, which is building a wind farm in Braila County, contemplates buying some wind units in various development stages in Romania.
