Great Wall Motors recalls 700 cars sold in Romania

Alexandros Motors, the representative of Great Wall Motors in Romania, is recalling 669 Hover, Steed and Cowry vehicles sold on the local market because their engine fittings contain asbestos, a substance banned since January 1, 2007, HotNews.ro informs. The recall operation concerns the vehicles produced in 2005-2010.  “According to the analyses, a small quantity of asbestos is being poured inside the fittings placed between the metal parts of assembled motors, so there is no risk of eliminating it. So we can confirm that this does not cause any damages to drivers and passengers and does not affect the vehicle,” Great Wall Motors states.
