One dead after an ambulance was hit by car-transporting truck

An ambulance on its way to Bucharest carrying a patient in serious condition was hit by a truck transporting two minibuses on DN 1 b in Buzau County, Tuesday morning. Buzau County police officials say the vehicle transporter truck approached from the oncoming lane and crashed into the ambulance. The ambulance doctor had to be extricated from the wreckage and was taken to the Buzau County hospital. The ambulance driver and a medical assistant too were injured in the crash. The patient however, already in severe condition, sustained a brain trauma and died in another ambulance that took him to hospital.
