Schulz awarded Doctor Honoris Causa title from SNSPA

European Parliament (EP) President Martin Schulz received on Wednesday the Doctor Honoris Causa title from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA) in Bucharest. The event was attended by former Romanian presidents Ion Iliescu and Emil Constantinescu. “I consider that this title is on one hand recognition and appreciation of the role he plays in the EP, not solely since he became EP President. I met him personally when I was leader of the PSD Group within the Senate and he was leader of the Socialist Group within the EP, and we actively collaborated, especially in 2004-2008,” Iliescu stated, being quoted by realitatea.net. In his turn, former President Emil Constantinescu pointed out that Schulz is one of the few “honest politicians of this period.”
