Agroland, the main supplier of fodder and day-old chicken in Romania, registered a 30 pc turnover increase between September 2011 and September 30, 2012, when it reached incomes of EUR 13 M. “Despite problems caused in February by very low temperatures and international problems related to the fluctuations of grain prices, we were able to resist in position,” said Horia Cardos, the CEO of Agroland. In Q1 this year, the company invested EUR 150,000 for opening four new shops in the towns of Ramnicu Valcea, Bailesti, Craiova and Targu Jiu, and for optimising its IT infrastructure and opening an online store, with the investments due to be recovered during the nextnext 3-5 years. This year, the company also opened 8 other shops in the regions of Moldavia and Dobrogea.
