Several studios in Uricani, damaged by explosion

Several studios from an apartment building situated in Uricani were damaged Monday in a blast that was caused by a 67 y.o. man who poured petrol on his belongings and set his studio on fire. Nobody was injured in the incident. Hunedoara firefighters that probe the incident said that most of the arsonist’s possessions were completely destroyed by fire and by the subsequent explosion, which also shattered the windows of the respective studio and of another one, located on the same floor. A number of 18 other dwelling units from the same building were damaged by the blast. The mayor of the town, Danut Buhaescu said he will seek solutions to help the affected families.
