The turnover of the automobiles and motorcycles trading sector decreased during the first nine months, compared to the same interval of 2011, both in unadjusted series and adjusted with the number of working days and seasonal factors, by 4.2 pc and 3.3 pc respectively, INS announced. INS also announced that primary energy resources decreased in the first nine months by 2.5 pc, while those of electricity went down 2.7 pc. The output of thermal power plants amounted to 24.302 billion KWh, up 4 pc. Hydropower plants produced 9.864 billion KWh, 24.2 pc less, and the Cernavoda nuclear power plant generated 8.437 billion KWh, down 2.6%. The output of wind turbines increased by 948.6 million KWh to 1.748 billion KWh. Electricity consumption amounted to 39.537 billion KWh, 0.5 pc higher than in the same interval of 2011. Public lighting registered a 6.2 pc increase, while the consumption of population advanced by 1 pc. Electricity export stood at 634 million KWh, down 71.4 pc. According to INS, a slight improvement was registered in the construction sector, where the volume of works increased in Q3 – unadjusted series and adjusted with working days and seasonal factors – by 3.2 pc and 4.6 pc respectively.
