Several masked men wearing vests that had “police” written on them tried to rob three Iranian citizens yesterday after stopping their car in order to search it. While the false police officers were looking through a bag that contained valuable goods the Iranians realized they were the victims of a robbery and started screaming. The agents of a private security company intervened immediately and the police was called. One of the false police officers was detained and two others managed to flee. Investigators are now looking for them. Police officers are not ruling out the possibility that more persons took part in the robbery but were not seen by the victims. The person detained is a known house robber, Mediafax informs.
