Over 20 pc of the underage girls raped last year were 5 to 9 years old, and the proportion of those aged 10 to 13 almost double, according to a study made public Tuesday by the Institute of Crime Prevention and Research. The study on sexual abuses against underage children, which presents data about assailants but their victims as well, shows that in 2011, rape accounted for the majority of sexual abuse cases (37.1pc) and sexual intercourse with an underage (54.6pc). Overall, there were identified 565 aggressors and 524 victims.
