Opera fans will receive a very special winter holiday gift this year. Grand Cinema Digiplex from Baneasa Shopping City is inviting them to one of Europe’s most grandiose and exclusive artistic shows – the concert opening the new musical season at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan which will be broadcast live on December 7, according to a press release. This year, the season will begin with the ’Lohengrin’ by Richard Wagner. It is a classical opera in three acts composed and written by Richard Wagner in 1850. The story is taken from medieval German romantic myths, notably the legend of the mysterious rescuer who comes in a swan-drawn boat and who always keeps his name and identity secret. December 7, the Day of St. Ambrose, the spiritual patron of Milan, is traditionally the day when the world famous opera house of the Italian metropolis opens a new season.
