“Amalia breathes deeply” staged in Paris

“Amalia breathes deeply “, a theater play written by Alina Nelega will be performed in French at the Byzantine Hall of the Behague Palace (Romania’s Embassy) in Paris, Mediafax quoted a Romanian Cultural Institute communique as saying. Codrina Pricopoaia’s monolog performance is staged by Bobi Pricop. “I chose to stage this long monologue, one of the most dramatic and strongest of the dramatic texts written in Romania in more than a decade,” Bobi Pricop said. The young generation to which Bobi Pricop belongs sees the text as an open door: exiting transition, finding a way to reconcile with the past, living the present and building a desirable future. Mirella Patureau translated the text into French.
