Over 100 wanted suspects whose data had been fed into the Schengen Information System and 21 vehicles searched for in order to be seized or used as evidence in judicial investigation have been located in the last week, according to the Romanian Police, quoted by Mediafax. In the last week, 120 individuals and 26 items introduced to the Schengen Information System (SIS) have been identified by the Romanian and foreign Police workers as part of the cooperation through the Romanian Police SIRENE Office. Romanian Police found in the period between November 10 and November 16 a total of 74 persons 15 of whom were subject of a European arrest warrant, one reported missing and 29 wanted for participation in judicial procedures. At the same time, 21 cars wanted by other Schengen states were located in Romania. Foreign authorities, on the other hand, have identified in their national territories a total of 46 individuals wanted by the Romanian Police.
