BCR invests EUR 2 M to develop Self Service – Cash In network

Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR) expands the Self Service concept by installing a network of 400 automated offices, with an investment worth approximately EUR 2 M, reads a press release. Automated offices are self-service machines dedicated to the individual customers of BCR. Transactions are conducted exclusively in RON, only with banknotes for the payment of invoices, by scanning bar codes or filling in by hand the templates for depositing cash to bank accounts, also in view of repaying loan installments/credit cards, in which customers are identified via a non-bank card featuring a predefined bar code. Since the network of 400 such machines was installed, one could notice that 20 pc of operations are made via the automated bank offices, while in terms of transactions, 50 pc are invoice payments and 50 pc cash deposits in view of repaying loan installments/current account.
