Worker drowns in the Danube, on construction site of Calafat-Vidin Bridge

A Romanian worker drowned in the Danube after falling from the Calafat – Vidin Bridge, the head of the Montana Regional Department of the Bulgarian Labour Ministry, Dimitar Petrov announced, quoted by Radio Vidin. The incident occurred Tuesday evening. The man, an employee of the Hidroconstructia Company, lost his balance, slipped and fell in the Danube from the bridge. The body has not been found yet. The accident happened as the man was working on the bridge. Bulgarian authorities started a probe in this case.
