CNADNR terminates two more contracts with Romstrade

The Romanian Company of Motorways and National Roads (CNADNR) notified Romstrade about the termination of two more contracts, for the modernisation of DN5 Bucharest – Adunatii Copaceni and the construction of the Caracal ring. The contract for the modernisation of a 11.6 km segment of DN5 was signed in March 2011, while the other dates from end-January last year. “The decision to send the termination notifications was made following the entrepreneur’s failure to meet the obligations provided by contract, i.e. the low progress rate achieved vs. the planned progress rate, the failure to react to the delay notification, the failure to observe the firm commitment to deal with the delay, the failure to meet the deadlines set for the reference points of the contract and the impossibility to meet the obligations stipulated by contract and to finalise all the works until the deadline set for the works,” reads a CNADNR in a communiqué. The road company recently terminated two contracts signed with associations that included Romstrade, for the construction of the first segment of the Nadlac-Arad motorway and for the restoration of a segment of DN6, Alexandria-Craiova.
