The Romanian Government on Monday received a formal letter on the Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development (SOPHRD) being restarted, Premier Victor Ponta told Realitatea TV. On Monday morning, the PM had said he was awaiting the official results on SOPHRD being carried on. The European Commission on Wednesday decided to resume payments to Romania for the Program, which have been stopped since July of this year. This would allow the processing of reimbursement application of spending on projects related to the Sectoral Operational Program Environment.
