Pantomime, dance and theater at Bucharest’s Art Theater

At the Bucharest Art Theater, Sunday, 8:15 pm, actor Richard Bovnoczki and actress Dana Cavaleru will unravel with energy and humor the ever present contrasts between a man and a woman in their day-to-day life, both at home and in society. “Contrasts” tells the story of a man and a woman who wake up in the same bed yet they cannot remember where they know each other from. Using gestures, words, sounds or steps of step dance, they create an ever changing imaginary world.Richard Bovnoczki and Dana Cavaleru are two of the best trained young actors of this form of art combining pantomime, dance and theater into a convincing whole, a genre pioneered by actor Dan Puric, with whom the two worked for years in the troupe Passepartout D.P. The Contrasts have already got two European prizes: the Special Jury Prize at the Faces without Masks Festival, Skopje, Macedonia, in 2009 and the Public Choice Award at the Solo Mime Festival, Belgrade, Serbia, 2009.
