“Picture, cartoon and comics stories” Exhibition at Galateca Gallery

Galateca, the C’arte and Cooltura Gallery, opened the exhibition “Picture, cartoon and comics stories”, according to hotnews.ro. The gallery, located at the ground floor of the Central University Library, awaits, Dec 7 thru Feb 17, the visitors passionate about cartoons and contemporary art. Curator Alexandru Ciubotariu, alias the Square Cat, put on display works by 14 artists representative for this genre, in a manner allowing the watching of the original format in which authors saw their works. The exhibited items, some of them shown for the first time, bears the signatures of  Ary Murnu, Burschi Gruder, Puiu Manu, Livia Rusz, Matty Aslan, Radu Duldurescu, Sandu Florea, Ioan Mihaescu, Mircea Arapu, Valentin Tanase, Tudor Popa, Alexandru Ciubotariu, Matei Branea and Cristian Darstar. An iPAD application created for Galateca allows the visualization of some new episodes signed by the authors whose works are displayed and complement the exhibition with images and information. Galateca prepared comics launches and publishing projects, creative workshops and events celebrating the object design.
