Corridor IV (Constanta-Bucharest-Pitesti-Sibiu-Nadlac Motorway) will be ready in 2016, and Sibiu-Nadlac, in 2014, national Road Comp (CNADNR) director Mircea Pop announced, according to hotnews.ro. Pop pointed out the company’s 2013 investment budget matches RON 1.4 bln, with most of the amount going to pay for the works done in 2012. « For the Nadlac – Arad stretch, where the contract was terminated, we will most likely have a constructor in March 2013, and the Sibiu – Deva section will be completed somewhere in 2013,” Pop outlined.Also, the A1 Sibiu – Pitesti segment “will be made with European funds. JASPERS, the European assistance body for such projects, has got our documentation in order to check on our ability to conduct the feasibility study required to get financing. I believe that in late 2013, early 2014, we will have a constructor for this extremely important portion,” Pop specified, who included the many environmental authorization required by the motorway running thru an area with 22 Nature 2000 sites, as one of the difficulties the project is grappling with .Referring to the Comarnic – Brasov Motorway, the CNADNR director gave Dec 2013 as a tentative timeframe for the start of the execution tender, provided banks show an interest in it, this being a concession project, and a consultant in March-April 2013.
