First Home programme to continue in 2013

The ‘First Home’ programme will continue in 2013, with the guarantees being increased by EUR 200 M, so funds will be enough until at least the middle of next year, and the banks that will not completely use the allotted funds by the end of this year may use the money in 2013. The financers that had allocations from the sums made available for 2012 will be authorised to integrally use the differences between the sums allotted and not committed by 31 December 2012 in 2013, as provided by a draft act posted on the site of the Ministry of Public Finance. Out of the 16 banks that participate in the fourth phase of the First Home programme, BCR, BRD, CEC Bank, Banca Transilvania, OTP, Unicredit Tiriac Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Credit Agricole and Leumi Bank requested to be allotted sums from the additional EUR 200 M, which can be used only until the end of this year, in accordance with current laws.
