FM Corlatean: I ask the Romanian associations of the US and Canada to sign the visa waiver petitions

Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean on Saturday issued an appeal to the Romanian associations of the USA and Canada to sign in numbers the visa waiver petition, explaining that this move would significantly help the government’s efforts with this regard. “I have a kind request to the Romanian associations of the USA and Canada. In New York, we agreed over a mutual support that will include a petition signed by many American and respectively Canadian Romanians about supporting us to the American Congress and the State Department about cancelling the visas for Romanians,” Corlatean said Saturday during the Forum of Romanians from Everywhere. He added that the formal approaches made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on this subject would thus enjoy the support of the Romanian communities from the USA and Canada, as this would also be a formula of unity and action of Romanians.
