Fashion designer remanded for drug trafficking

Fashion designer Mirela Radulescu and a veterinarian doctor from Bucharest were remanded Tuesday afternoon following a ruling by the Dolj Tribunal, charged with drug trafficking, Mediafax reports. A third person was also arrested in connection with the case, who procured ketamine for Mirela Radulescu’s use, but which was also distributed to other users. The court ruling is challengeable on appeal. Sources with DIICOT Craiova say that the fashion designer was caught by prosecutors when she was about to leave home with the vet who had just brought her the ketamine for her to buy. The home search revealed 35 phials containing 20 ampules of ketamine each. The veterinarian’s home was also searched.  According to prosecutors, Mirela Radulescu has trafficked ketamine for a couple of months, along with the Bucharest-based veterinarian. The doctor procured the ketamine for RON 20 an ampule from pharmacies and sold it on the black market for RON 100/apiece, with designer’s help. Mirela Radulescu is the sister of Catalin Radulescu, the Social-Liberal Union (USL) Deputy of Arges County.
