ANAF closes bank accounts of 450,000 SMEs

The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) allegedly closed the bank accounts of approximately 450,000 SMEs, economic analyst Mircea Cosea claims, Antena 3 informs. “I don’t know how the Finance Ministry can be so obtuse as to block the bank accounts of the real economy, because this means bankruptcy, the loss of jobs, instead of trying to renegotiate the debts, at least a partial fiscal amnesty, because if they block their accounts they will all die and what does the state gain, it doesn’t gain anything,” Cosa added. Ovidiu Nicolescu, President of CNIPMMR claims that ANAF employees have a target in what concerns the volume of fines and that when they conduct check-ups they only seek to attain that target.
