The youths accused of raping a 14 year old girl banned to leave the locality

The six youths aged between 17 and 20, accused of assaulting and raping a 14 year old girl in Roata de Jos, Giurgiu County, were ordered not to leave the locality for 30 days, and will remain free during the investigation. According to sources with IPJ Giurgiu, prosecutors initially detained the youths under a 24-hour ordinance and Sunday evening, after hearings ended, they decided that the suspects will no longer be taken to court with the proposal of preventive arrest and instead prohibited them from leaving Roata de Jos during February 7 – March 5.The suspects left the building of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Giurgiu Tribunal, where they had been expected and taken home by their parents.The youths accused of assaulting and raping the teenager at the home of the girl’s friend have no criminal record and the investigators confirmed that one of them intended to record the rape with his cell phone, but he gave up the idea. According to IPJ Giurgiu officials the file opened by the prosecutor includes a medical certificate obtained by the victim and a neuro-psychiatric expertise of the victim and her agressors.
