With an impressing list of honors including two world championship medals, seven European champion titles, two Olympic medals and many more trophies, Irina Slutskaia is an emblematic skater. An Ambassadress of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games, Slutskaia is considered “Russia’s skater queen“, a four-time Russian Nationals champion. American skater Johnny Weir, too, will be present for the first time at the 5th “Kings On Ice” in Bucharest. He made his debut in 1996, in the junior skating championships where he won several prizes and medals during a period of nearly five years. Named the “Skater of Year 2010” by the well-known Skating Magazine, Wier is appreciated not only for his outstanding skating results, but also for his non-conventional style and his involvement in the world of fashion.
