CFR Cluj, best Romanian team in 2012

Romanian title holders CFR Cluj climbed 11 places to rank 31st with 190 points in the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) 2012 rankings, being the best-ranking Romanian team, iffhs.de informs. CFR Cluj is in a tie with Lazio Roma (Italy) and Ulsan Hyundai (South Korea). Steaua dropped 7 places to rank 48th with 172 points, in a tie with Club Sport Emelec Guayaquil (Ecuador) and Girondins Bordeaux (France). Following its success in 1997, 2009 and 2011 FC Barcelona, with its many world stars, has in 2012 won the Club World Ranking of the year for the 4th time.
