Mourning in Romanian world of handball

Otto Tellman, former world champion with the men’s national handball team, died at the age of 86, the Romanian Handball Federation (FRH) informs. “The Romanian world of handball parts with difficulty with one of Romania’s biggest players who made handball history. The Romanian Handball Federation mourns the death of the champion and stands besides the bereaved family. May God rest his soul,” the FRH message reads. Otto Tellman (Steaua Handball Club) was one of the main players of the national team that won the first World Championship in Romanian handball history in 1961.
