According to an opinion poll conducted by IRES in December last year, quoted by Realitatea.net, President Traian Basescu is the main responsible for the things that went wrong in 2012. The head of state was blamed by one respondent in two, and is followed by former PM Emil Boc – 11 pc, Victor Ponta – 13 pc and Senate Speaker Crin Antonescu – 6 pc. If elections were held next Sunday, USL would achieve a score of 64 pc, followed by PDL – 15 pc and PP-DD with 9 pc. More than half of subjects said that job creation should be the top priority of the Ponta government in 2013. When it comes to the things that were wrong in 2012, most Romanians see only one culprit. The poll was conducted on 19-21 December 2012, on 1383 subjects, and has an error margin of +-2.7 pc.
