EUR 40 M investment of Italian group ‘Policlinico di Monza’

The Monza Hospital, Cardiovascular Center, part of Italian group of hospitals ‘Policlinico di Monza,’ formally inaugurated yesterday the newest Cardiovascular Center of Bucharest and the country, following a total investment of EUR 40 M. According to a press release, the group will invest EUR 20 M, over the next 2-3 years, in developing the hospital and diversifying the available practices. At the proposal of the Ministry of Health, the Monza Hospital will open in the second half of this year, besides the Cardiovascular Surgery section, also a section of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery and an oncology center, as the investment so far already included the infrastructure and medical equipment necessary to found and operate them. The first such operations will become possible this autumn. The expansion plans also include the development of the pathological anatomy laboratory, the electrophysiology laboratory, enlarging and diversifying the types of surgeries and diversifying the ambulatory specialties.
