Electroprecizia to inject EUR 3 M into micro hydroelectric station

Manufacturer of electric engines and equipment, Electroprecizia Sacele will invest EUR 3 M-plus in the construction of a micro hydropower station at Sacele, Brasov County., which will provide 60-70 pc of the electricity needs of the company, Mediafax reports. The micro hydroelectric station will be erected on the site of a former hydroelectric plant that operated from 1922 into the 1960s, according to the company communiqué. The unit will have an installed power of 1.4 MW and will produce an annual power amount of 6.700 MWh. Several shareholders hold a total of 50.3 pc of the Electroprecizia share capital, the rest being held by Sfantu Gheorghe-based Intercom Company, i.e. 49.69 per cent.
