Labour minister’s chief of staff accused of taking bribe

Iuliana Corut, Labour Minister’s chief of staff, is accused of taking bribe in exchange for allowing a man to come in possession of test subjects at an examination for the position of European Affairs counselor at the Sectorial Operational program Human Resources development (SOPHRD) Management Authority General Department. Prosecutors with the National Anti-corruption Department (DNA) opened a criminal investigation against Iuliana Corut, who is charged with taking bribe, instigation to allowing unauthorized persons’ access to confidential information and instigation to abuse of office. DNA announced it also opened a criminal inquiry against Paula Manuceanu – a labour minister’s adviser, two more ministerial staffers and yet another person who came in possession of examination subjects
